Good Class day!

I should have known I was going to have a good day because this morning I had a nice video chat with my bestie bailey! I was in such a good mood afterwards and it made my day just great! Class was a lot better today. I understood a lot of things, I was the second in my class to finish an exercise and I got lots of it right, and I made a new friend. This sweet girl named Amelie from Germany. She is very sweet and we had a nice conversation about how difficult languages are. She said she feels stupid sometimes too. We also talked about how far away Texas is, the time change, and all kinds of things. It was SO NICE to talk to someone. I admit we both used an occasional english word but for the most part we talked in italiano.

After class I was in a good mood and headed over to my usual bar for a quick lunch. I have been going there everyday after school. I get un caffe and a sandwich, I eat standing and it costs 2 euros. Yum. They know me and say ciao when I go in. Nice. Feeling pretty proud of myself I went to the Termini to look into buying a ticket for tomorrow. I did almost the entire transaction in italian. The older woman who helped me was patient and even said "parla molto bene"! yay. My ticket is for the express train which gets you to Napoli in 75 minutes! It is usually a three hour train ride. I will get to Napoli at 10:10 and then buy my ticket to Pompeii from there.

My plan is to go to Pompeii and afterwards go to Sorrento and take a bus along the coast to Positano. I am incredibly excited and proud that I could manage to buy myself a ticket. I won't be taking my computer because I don't want to have to worry about it in my luggage. I will have my cell phone so you can except phone calls! Thanks everyone for being so supportive, I can't even tell you how great it is to hear form home and talk to people via ichat (b!).

Hey, it sounds like you're going to have an amazing time!

Just so you know, the train station for the circumvesuviana line is in the same station as the train that comes in from Rome. They call them two different stations though LOL and it confused us at first. Just follow the signs and you'll be fine :)

I'd allow at least four hours for Pompeii, because it's so big, and more if you have it ;)

If you want to see Herculaneum, and I did because I'm that much of a geek, be sure to really look on a map about where it is, because we were so close and walked around in circles for nearly thirty minutes trying to find the entrance XD
